Legal Aspects of Contracts and Leases for Small Businesses

SCORE, a nationwide network offering free, confidential, ongoing mentoring, counsel, advice and business guidance, is giving a free webinar, hosted by its local chapter. Learn why having a well-drafted contract or lease can make a considerable difference to your business. Contracts can be complicated and a proper legal review could be the difference between executing an agreement that properly defines and protects the rights, interests, and obligations of your business from a document that fails to properly define the relationship or allow for the remedy of disputes among the participants. Join an attorney from the Western New York Law Center's Small Business Legal Clinic (SBLC), who will address the purposes of contracts and leases and how specific provisions will allow your business to navigate the applicable laws, minimize disputes, protect intellectual property, limit liability, and manage expectations of the parties.
